Did you know Mobile Tech Shop, LLC collaborates with other IT companies to solve problems for both their clients and ours?  Case in point:  We were approached by the owner of an IT company in our own competing territory (Twin Cities).  Their team was having major issues with one of their top clients and needed to bring in a fresh set of eyes.  We were successful in finding the cause and resolution.  Here's how we did it.

Issue:  After upgrading an environment from Server 2008 and Windows 7 to Server 2016 and Windows 10, users of a custom Microsoft Access database application would have table data filled with "#Name?" resulting in the user needing to restart the application multiple times throughout the day:

Root Cause:  Group policy mapped drives settings.

Solution: 
GPO deployed mapped drives should be set to UPDATE; not REPLACE.
